Cruising Sailing I (Includes ASA Basic Keelboat Sailing and Basic Coastal Cruising Certifications) -- 20 hours of on-water instruction.  Covers basic and intermediate sailing skills and knowledge needed to daysail a 30 foot sailboat in fair conditions.  The perfect course to start you on a lifetime of safe and exciting sailing.  Cruising Sailing I courses are held over two consecutive weekends beginning in mid-May.  ASA Certification Standards

 

Cruising Sailing II (ASA Bareboat Charter Certification) -- 15 hours of on-water instruction.  Covers advanced sailing skills and knowledge including boat systems, basic coastal navigation, anchoring, and docking.  Prepares you to to skipper a 30-50 foot sailboat in coastal waters during daytime in moderate conditions.  Cruising Sailing II courses begin in mid-summer and are held over one weekend.  ASA Certification Standards

Coastal Navigation -- Guided self-study course complete with ASA's comprehensive coastal navigation study guide, supplementary materials, and tutorials.  Covers chart work, advanced navigation, and Navigation Rules.  Necessary (and enjoyable) skills for sailors planning to sail coastal waters or who want to extend and refine their sailing knowledge.

ASA Challenge -- For experienced sailors who would like to enjoy the many benefits of ASA certification without attending regular classes, Fairwind offers the opportunity to challenge the Basic Keelboat Sailing and Basic Coastal Cruising levels.  To successfully challenge these levels, sailors must meet the requisite ASA Certification Standards.

Summer of Sail Package -- Private instruction for two people leading to ASA's Basic Keelboat Sailing and Basic Coastal Cruising Certifications, combined with a summer lease share on a beautiful Beneteau yacht.  The perfect way to begin your sailing dreams.

All Fairwind on-water classes are limited to four students per class to maximize your instruction. 

Private lessons and refresher courses are available with Fairwind's award winning instructors.  Please inquire for personalized scheduling.
